Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about MediaFlow, the free plan, and Pro.

The Basics

What is MediaFlow?

MediaFlow is a unified search tool for free stock photos and videos. Instead of searching Pexels and Pixabay separately, you type your query once and get results from both platforms side by side — then download in one click. No API key needed, no sign-up required to search.

Which platforms does MediaFlow search?

Currently Pexels and Pixabay — two of the largest and most permissive free stock media libraries in the world, with millions of photos and videos between them. We are working on adding Unsplash as a third source.

Do I need to create an account?

No account is required to search or download on the free plan. You get 30 searches per day immediately, no sign-up. Pro subscribers create an account via Stripe at checkout, which is used to manage your subscription.

Do I need my own Pexels or Pixabay API key?

No. MediaFlow handles all API authentication on the backend. You just search and download — we take care of the technical setup.

Free Plan

How many free searches do I get?

30 searches per day on the free plan. This resets at midnight. Each search counts as one use regardless of how many results are returned.

Is the free plan really free? Any hidden fees?

Yes, genuinely free. No credit card, no trial period, no hidden fees. The 30-searches-per-day limit is the only restriction. We make money from Pro subscribers, not from selling your data.

Can I download media on the free plan?

Yes. Downloads are unlimited on both free and Pro plans. The 30-search limit applies to search queries, not downloads. Once results are loaded, you can download as many as you like.

Pro Plan

What does Pro include?
  • Unlimited searches — no daily cap
  • Bulk video download tools
  • Priority support
  • Early access to new features (Unsplash integration, saved collections)
How much does Pro cost?

Currently USD $49 as a lifetime deal — pay once, use forever. This is our founding member price and will not be available indefinitely. We plan to move to a $9/month subscription once the lifetime deal closes. Existing lifetime members will never be charged again.

What payment methods are accepted?

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), and Apple Pay / Google Pay where supported by your browser. We do not store your payment details — Stripe handles everything.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. We offer a 7-day refund on all Pro purchases, no questions asked. If MediaFlow does not work for you, email us within 7 days of purchase and we will process a full refund via Stripe. After 7 days, refunds are at our discretion.

To request a refund, contact us at hypescopemedia@gmail.com with your Stripe receipt.

Is the lifetime deal really lifetime?

Yes. Pay once and you have Pro access for as long as MediaFlow operates. If we ever sunset the service, lifetime members will receive at least 90 days notice and a partial refund where possible.

How do I activate Pro after payment?

After completing checkout through Stripe, your Pro status is linked to your email address. If you experience any issues activating your account, email hypescopemedia@gmail.com with your Stripe receipt and we will sort it out within 24 hours.

Downloads & Licensing

Can I use downloaded media commercially?

Yes — both Pexels and Pixabay use free licences that permit commercial use. You can use downloaded photos and videos in:

  • YouTube videos (including monetised channels)
  • Social media posts and ads
  • Client projects and websites
  • Presentations and marketing materials
  • Products you sell

You cannot resell the raw media files as stock, and you cannot claim copyright over unmodified stock content. Always check the individual licence on Pexels and Pixabay for the most current terms.

Do I need to credit the photographer?

Neither Pexels nor Pixabay require attribution, but both encourage it. Crediting photographers supports creators and is considered good practice in the community.

Why does my download open in the browser instead of saving?

This can happen in some browsers when the file type is one the browser can display (like a JPG or MP4). Try right-clicking the result and choosing "Save link as" if one-click download doesn't trigger. If the issue persists, contact support.

Privacy & Data

Do you track my searches?

MediaFlow uses Google Analytics to track aggregate usage statistics (page views, search counts, popular features). We do not log or store individual search queries linked to your identity. Your search terms are sent to Pexels and Pixabay APIs to retrieve results — subject to their own privacy policies.

What data do you collect when I sign up for the email list?

Only your email address, used to send product updates and announcements. We use Formspree to handle email submissions. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email with "unsubscribe" in the subject line.
